Bring Creatures to Life with Foldify
Today's tech tip is devoted to an app called Foldify. I keep hearing about how great this app is but please keep in mind that it is not free. You may discover that it is worth the investment and you would like to be able to use it in your classrooms. Foldify is good for all ages. This app allows users to create an animal in 3D on the iPad, print it, and fold it to create that animal as a real object. Foldify encourages students to think about 3D modeling, design and how that impacts the real world. It's where the virtual meets reality. Please check out the 50 second video below to see how it works:

Where in the world?
Looking for a fun way to engage your students in a bit of a geography using a little mystery? Well, then look no further because Geosettr is here. Geosettr allows you to choose five locations in Google street view and have your students guess where they are. Going on an upcoming field trip? This is a great way to build excitement about some of the destinations prior to your visit. The window on the left is the map that you will use to zoom into your desired location. Then, you will click "Set Round" up to five times and you will have a geography guessing game adventure ready to go!

DK Find Out! is appropriate for all ages. Next time you need your class research assistant to look something up, want to identify a good trivia question, or are looking for a solid research website that is free, be sure to explore DK Find Out!
